West Palm Beach Downtown Development Launches New Online Property

The newly launched WPBGO.com

Last month, West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority launched a new web portal along with an iPhone app to keep visitors and residents up to date on all the events, activities and shops downtown. Both the website and the app help the user to find downtown shops, restaurant listings, parking information, directions and much more. The site was conceptualized and developed by NimbusBlue using Wordpress and boasts several custom plugins to assist the DDA in maintaining their business listings and the WPBGO iPhone app’s content. The site also offers a landing page page theme coordinated with the time of day viewed.

WPBGO.com joins the growing online network of DowntownWPB’s media outlets and invites you to explore the exciting upcoming downtown events, become a fan of DowntownWPB’s Facebook fan page, and sign up to receive DowntownWPB’s Twitter feed @DowntownWPB to always stay in the know!

New Wordpress Digg Widget

After trying various sidebar plugins for WordPress and not getting the results needed, Tim has created a new WP widget for us to keep track of the articles we Digg. He located a nice PHP DIGG API that Justin Silverton wrote, allowing us to interface with the DIGG API directly.

Thanks to Justin Silverton for building this quick and easy Digg API class and Chris Black for his js methods.
